Project overview
This roof was faded and worn after years of exposure to Perth’s coastal weather. The previous paint job was peeling and fading in places, leaving the roof vulnerable to damage. The project goal was to refresh the roof’s look and add an extra layer of protection from the elements.
The problem
The previous roof coating was peeling and fading in places. The roof was now at risk of weathering more quickly, which could lead to leaks and premature deterioration. A clean surface and high-quality protective paint job would be needed to restore the roof’s appearance and longevity.
What we did
Our team began by pressure cleaning the roof to remove dirt, moss, lichen, and any loose or peeling paint. All surfaces were inspected, and any areas of flaking or damaged paint were removed to ensure proper paint adhesion.
We then applied a Dulux Acratex primer to improve adhesion to the surface. Once the primer had dried, we spray applied two coats of Dulux Acratex Roof Membrane in the client’s chosen colour, leaving a fresh and vibrant finish. The coating provided excellent UV protection, salt and moisture resistance, and a tough, long-lasting finish to withstand Perth’s weather.
The end result
The roof now looks modern and vibrant, greatly improving the kerb appeal of the home. The coating provides long-lasting UV and weather protection, helping to prolong the life of the roof. The project was completed quickly and with minimal disruption to the homeowner, and the work is covered by our warranty.
