About this Project
The home in South Perth needed a roof repair, as it had signs of damage and a potential leak. The existing tiled roof had several broken and missing tiles, with gaps exposing the roof layers to the elements.
The Problem
The roof tiles were damaged from years of exposure to the coastal weather in Perth, as well as age-related deterioration. Many tiles were cracked or missing, and the roof had areas of wear that could let water through. If left untreated, these issues could result in leaks, structural damage, and higher maintenance expenses.
What We Did
Our team assessed the whole roof to locate damaged and loose tiles. We then removed the broken tiles, replaced them with matching new ones, and re-secured loose tiles to create a sealed surface. Any damaged flashings or ridges were repaired or replaced, to further protect from water ingress.
We also added sealant along vulnerable joints and key areas to further waterproof the roof. Safety and careful staging of the works kept interruptions to the property to a minimum throughout the project.
The Final Result
The roof repair was completed in 4 days and it restored the integrity and aesthetic of the roof. The new tiles and sealants formed a watertight barrier, protecting the home from water ingress. The roof system now has reliable protection, with an extended lifespan.
